Yea so I was away for quite some time. Had to go balik kampong for CNY, which was a blast. Then last week I also had to fly back to Jakarta for a dear friend’s wedding. I will have a post about those Jakarta trips very soon. I dearly miss FEFD.
One of my habits when I’m online is searching for good airfare deals. Subscribing to frequent flyer programs can be helpful, as they feed you first-hand promotions, when you follow those favorite airlines of yours on social media, even better! And with today’s airlines who started their own apps, things just got a lot easier.
So here we go, as a way to say “Fandy is sorry for the FEFD goes idle saga”, let me recap some of the most attractive airfare deals happening now. Read on for FEFD’s first ever #FEFDFlyDeals, weekly curated deals covering Indonesia and APAC.
Midnight Sale, you nightcrawlers enjoy better GA fares. You hold HSBC cards? Even better as they offer 0% 3-month installment until month end. Stay awake from 9 pm to 5 am UTC+7 and enjoy exciting rates, let me sample some for you.
- Fly return Jakarta-Beijing from USD 503, Denpasar-Beijing from USD 507. Both routes are served by A330-300
- Fly return Jakarta-Seoul from USD 457 on A330-200
- Fly return Jakarta-London Gatwick from USD 1,141 on B777-300 with a rather quick stopover at Amsterdam

The flag carrier was recently coveted as a 5-star airline from SkyTrax, one of the only 7 airlines in the world. So, that’s another reason to fly GA.
I have always had the pleasure flying Thai on their Denpasar-Bangkok route. And with added Jakarta-Bangkok frequency, and return fare from USD 224, your tuk-tuk and mango sticky rice getaway just got one step closer.

- Denpasar-Bangkok daily, 1605-1915 on B777-300

Dates:
27-29 March 2015
Expect to see:
13 major airlines, 100 travel agents and other hospitality brands
They haven’t launched all deals yet, but judging from previous years’ madness, the most exciting fares were the Jakarta-Singapore (for obvious reasons as Indonesian are tirelessly crazed over Singapore) or Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur ones.
You don’t want to miss special priced tickets packages or free and easy tours from Garuda Indonesia, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, ANA, China Airlines, Emirates, Thai Airways, Saudi Arabian, Qatar Airways, Qantas, Eva Air, Turkish Airlines and Malaysian Airlines.
Sounds interesting huh? Go see the world! Flash news: Surabaya will have a taste of Astindo’s as well late April so worry not Surabayans. Follow their Twitter for the latest updates.
